AFFILIATIONS

 

Z E P H I R O is in the process of applying for membership and affiliation to several organizations and associations of civil society organizations. Information about our affiliations is being prepared (we have quite a few applications in process already!) and will be uploaded as soon as it becomes available.

 

I. We are happy to have just joined:

 

1. The Association for Women's Rights in Development (AWID)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Association for Women's Rights in Development (AWID) is international, feminist, membership organization committed to achieving gender equality, sustainable development and women's human rights. AWID's mission is to be a driving force within the global community of feminist and women’s rights activists, organizations and movements, strengthening our collective voice, impact and influence to transform structures of power and decision-making and advance human rights, gender justice and environmental sustainability. The very international and collective focus of AWID suggests that we would miss a lot if we did not join this dynamic network activists! 

II. We have already applied, but are waiting for official confirmations from:

 

1. International Lesbian, Gay, Trans and Intersex  Association (ILGA) 

 

ILGA – the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association, is the world federation of national and local organisations dedicated to achieving equal rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and intersex (LGBTI) people. ILGA is an umbrella organisation of more than 1100 member organisations presented in six different regions including: Pan Africa Ilga, Ilga-Asia, Ilga-Europe, Ilga-LAC (Latin America and the Caribbean), Ilga North-America andIlga-Oceania (Aotearoa/New Zealand, Australia and Pacific Islands). Established in 1978, ILGA enjoys consultative status at the UN ECOSOC Council, publishes an annual world report and a map on legislation criminalising or protecting people on the basis of their sexual orientation or recognising their relationships. We would miss a lot if we did not join this dynamic network activists! 

2. Fundamental Rights Agency's Fundamental Rights Platform (FRP) 

The Fundamental Rights Platform (FRP) is FRA’s network of civil society organisations. Through this network, participant organisations can play an active role in FRA’s work. Organisations can apply to join the FRP by answering regular calls for participation. With over 300 civil society organisations working on numerous fundamental rights issues across the EU, the FRP is the agency’s channel for cooperation and information exchange. Bringing together a diverse group of actors on the European, national, and local levels, it is a unique forum that allows a truly European debate on fundamental rights. Through the FRP, civil society organisations are directly informed about the agency’s work, explore synergies with their activities, and provide valuable input into the FRA’s Annual Work Programme and Annual Report, helping to better tailor the agency’s work to the real needs of European citizens. Proud to be part of FRP!

3. International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer Youth and Student Organisation (IGLYO)

IGLYO is the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer Youth and Student Organisation.  With over 90 members across Europe, IGLYO promotes youth empowerment and leadership, builds the capacity of member organisations and advocates for LGBT+ youth and student rights at a European level. Proud to be a member of IGLYO!
